Jul 2012 - New Additions....

It's that time again! Bottle porn, stash pictures, new additions... whatever you want to call it, it's a lot of new polishes for me! :)

First up are the Zoya's, which were a birthday present from my darling flamingo queen Katti. <3 I had been after Ivanka ever since I'd fallen head over heels in love with Charla (still my favourite polish to date!), and Tru had been making flirty little eyes at me ever since I'd seen her online. I'm not normally a matte polish fan but Savita looked so pretty with topcoat that I wanted her too, and Sara has been a 'maybe' lemming of mine for a while. (After swatching I realized she's very similar to CG's Ruby Pumps, but more glassflecky shimmer than glitter chunks.)

Second up, the dusty hunting. Haha! I'd heard of a beauty supply outlet about half an hour's drive from where we live, and decided I needed to go. Mostly to get Gelous (which they didn't have in stock anyway, boo), but also because they had a clearance section, and who doesn't love the opportunity to score some cheap polish? Anyway, after spending an hour sifting through boxes (which we very nicely organized for them as we went! They should pay us in polish :P), we emerged victorious!

Here are the little followers I picked up. I'm oddly disappointed in CG In The City; looks gorgeous in the bottle, not such a fan of it when swatched. Hmm. Perhaps Gelous will help? Midtown has been a major longtime lemming of mine, it is so sparkly and mysterious and lovely! Concrete Catwalk and Papaya Punch are both wonderfully opaque cremes, I think with careful application they could both easily be one-coaters!

And, finally, the mixed bit at the end. The OPI's are a continuation of the supply store haul. Katti had Houston years ago, and I tried it but wasn't too into sheers back then, so although I loved the colour I decided not to buy it. However, now I am a jelly sandwich appreciator, I decided I couldn't pass it by again, and promptly snapped it up. Tutu was a real surprise for me! I was gearing up to buy it full price online, but I thought I'd wait and see what the prices were like at this new place. I totally wasn't expecting it to be in clearance; I nearly swooned with excitement when I spotted it! Love! <3
Utopia and Ibiza Mix were from the 2 for £8 promo in Boots, and... well, really I didn't need either of these shades, heh. But I'd been umming and ahhing over Utopia for a while (I do like my near-white pastel shades), and the same for Ibiza Mix (I like that the glitters are almost a little bit pastel themselves?). So I thought eh, why not, and got them both. :P

And that's the haul post for July! :D (Technically the dusty hunting polishes were bought in August, but I felt they could go in here. Mostly because I've just ordered a huge lot of indie polishes at the end of July, but they won't appear until mid August, so they'll be dominating next month's stash update!)
